The 14K gold seashell is 1.5 inches long, 1.25 in. wide, and is 3/8 in. deep, and hangs from a 14K gold charm bail. The pendant can be removed if you'd like to wear another charm on the bail. The 14K gold paperclip chain is 18-inches long and is secured with a 14K lobster clasp. An AA grade, 6 mm faceted aquamarine is set in 14K gold and is attached to the chain. This is a beautiful one-of-a-kind piece and at 23 grams, it's heft and durablilty make it a great staple for everday wear. The original cockle shell (a type of clam) was found on Assateague Island, Virginia, and cast in gold. Number 1 of 1.; in stock and ready to ship within the U.S. only. *Intially, I was drawn to the shells' texture and symmetry, but the more I worked with them, the more I visualized the seashell as metaphor for life's ups and downs~
Unmoored and tumbling,
sinking to the depths. A small
shift to change the course.
Upward, buoyed, air
riding the current to shore,
reflection and peace.
Temporarily
(the only constant is change)
another layer.
