Garnet, January's birthstone, never did much for me until I started working with rhodolite garnets. The rhodolites are more berry colored than red and now I'm sold on this beautiful gemstone. This 8 mm faceted garnet is set in an 18K yellow gold, hand fabricated bezel setting (open in back) and hangs from a 14K gold snake chain, 16 inches long. The snake chain is one of my favorites because it's so durable and rich but if you prefer the paperclip style chain that looks great, too. (It's 20 inches long and I'm happy to shorten it for you.) The pendant can be removed from either chain allowing you to wear the chain on it's own and/or the garnet on other chains.
